Moreover, the "monster" racing toward him was unlike those Rule-based Level-9 Beings of the Material Star Realm.
Take the Demon Heaven God or the Death God—after embarking upon the path of becoming Rule-based, at most their true spirits had returned to nothingness, while their Level-9 bodies operated according to the Astral Realm Rules.
According to Little Tenth's feedback and the Demon Fall Supreme's behavior back then, the true spirits of those Rule-based Level-9 Beings might not have vanished completely.
They had still left themselves a sliver of hope—the hope of transcendence.
But this Level-9 Being charging endlessly at Saine gave him the impression of an utterly irrational madwoman.
And though she was called a Level-9 Being, as she drew ever closer, Saine vaguely felt that she seemed to be a "knock-off."
Her aura was indeed Level-9, but who knew what she had gone through to end up in such a ghastly state.
How much of the Omnipotent Soul that Level-9 Beings usually possessed remained within her was anyone's guess.
Watching her attack without pause, Saine could not help associating her with certain creatures he had encountered in the Death Mourning Civilization.
Though Saine knew that, in essence, this peculiar Level-9 Being attacking him was absolutely fundamentally different from those creatures of the Death Mourning Civilization!
A Level-9 Being was attacking, after all, so Saine showed her sufficient respect.
