Amid the eager expectations and watchful eyes of the masses, the three Quasi-Magicians at the very front entered the depths of the Magic Altar under the urging of the surrounding Formal Black Wizards.
The white Elemental Light made it impossible to see what was happening deep within the altar.
Not only were those Formal Black Wizards staring intently into the depths of the altar, but the Black Wizard Apprentices, Saine included, were as well.
A moment later, several Formal Black Wizards around them furrowed their brows. Then even Saine heard a shrill, miserable scream.
The enormous white altar was like the silent maw of a magical beast. After swallowing the three Quasi-Magicians, it did not stir the slightest ripple.
"No, there's been a change!"
"The Time-Space Rift has deviated slightly. Having the Quasi-Magicians lead the way would cause too great a loss. We still need to rely on them as the main force to set up the Coordinate Generator," a Black Magician in the Magic Tower said urgently.
"Send the Entry-Level Apprentices! They only need to find a correct passage again around the outer edge of the space crack. We can just fill it with lives; there's no need to waste apprentice strength."
"What a pity. When Dean Dadalong and the others came, they should have coerced a batch of humans from the City of Mozhsuobula into coming with them."
