Deep in the Gray Nebula, Emperor Chenlun personally led Saine into the current core stronghold of the Decayed Civilization.
This was a continent of steel pieced together from hundreds of damaged War Fortresses.
The overwhelming majority of those War Fortresses still retained the structural style of the Material Star Realm era. It was just that an incomparably long period of resource scarcity had left their surfaces covered in dense, overlapping traces of repair.
In some places, there had not even been enough material for the repairs.
They could only be forcibly held together with the Rules of Decay!
When Saine's level-nine mechanical clone swept through the air above the steel continent, he saw no small number of Decayed Civilization legions along the way.
And the overall strength of these Decayed Civilization beings could be considered rather good.
Most members of the legions remained at the Level-4 to Level-6 Life Level.
There were also quite a few Level-7 and Level-8 Dominators.
As for Emperor Chenlun walking beside him, he was at the Level-10 Peak Life Level.
This was the power level Emperor Chenlun currently possessed.
Saine swept the Light of Machines over the crisscrossing scars of Rules of Decay across Emperor Chenlun's body.
Emperor Chenlun had clearly also noticed Saine's scrutiny.
"You must be laughing at me, Master Saine," Emperor Chenlun said.
"Back in the Material Star Realm, I never imagined that after arriving on the Higher Dimensional Plane, the Decayed Civilization would end up in such a state."
Emperor Chenlun brought Saine to a relatively intact Temple of Decay.
At the center of the temple still stood the Decayed Civilization's Star Map of the Dimensional Hegemony from the past.
Saine glanced at the Star Map.
"The location you chose for the Dimensional Hegemony back then was Despair World?" Saine asked.
