Lina entered the Magic Altar on the seventh day, while her Senior Sister Fei'er left on the eighth.
Shadow Valley, which had once housed several hundred Magic Apprentices, had nearly been emptied of Entry-Level Apprentices. The Quasi-Magicians and Advanced Magic Apprentices had also entered the Magic Altar one after another.
By the tenth day, fewer than three hundred apprentices remained in the valley, and nearly all of them were Intermediate Apprentices or Low-Level Apprentices.
It was at this point that the academy unexpectedly suspended its transfers of apprentices into the Magic Altar.
Saine had no idea what exactly had happened.
"How is it? Have any apprentices successfully arrived, or has any other news come back?" In the Magic Tower, Vice Dean Dadalong walked into the monitoring room at the top of the tower and asked.
"Dean Martin and Dean Qiongni are watching over the Time-Space Rift. Although some Advanced Apprentices and Quasi-Magicians have been lost, the vast majority have made it through."
"For now, we have not received any particularly detailed information about the Alien Plane. We can only roughly infer from the elemental energy leaking from the Time-Space Rift that the other side is a plane with an exceptionally abundant concentration of Earth Elementals."
"Earth Elementals?" Vice Dean Dadalong could not help frowning upon hearing this news.
Having struggled in the Black Domain for over a thousand years, he suddenly sensed that something was amiss.
It was pure intuition.
The source of his unease was not that the Alien Plane was somehow unusual, but that he had suddenly thought of other possibilities.
An Earth Elemental plane? Why does it happen to have an exceptionally rich concentration of Earth Elementals?
Martin and the Dean are both Earth Elementalists. Could this have something to do with the Dean?
*That's right. Ever
