When the Boundary-Severing Bronze Corpse arrived at the entrance zone, the first thing torn apart was not the Mechanical Civilization's outer defensive line.
It was space.
Its enormous bronze corpse body stepped out from the depths of the Destruction Crystal Tide. Each time the shattered gate ring in its chest trembled, an exceedingly thin, perfectly straight gray-black scar appeared in the surrounding starry sky.
That was not a spatial rift in the ordinary sense.
Ordinary spatial rifts at least went through a process of healing.
But wherever the Boundary-Severing Bronze Corpse walked, those scars seemed to have had a section erased by some deeper level of rules. Before and after no longer connected. Of the twenty-seven signal links the Mechanical Civilization had laid around the entrance zone, four were severed on the spot.
"Skynet subzones Six, Eleven, and Nineteen have lost synchronization!"
"It's not interference—the route has vanished!"
"It cut away the coordinates in the middle!"
Skynet warnings flashed one after another.
Saine, stationed at the rear, immediately raised the Boundary-Severing Bronze Corpse's threat level. Skynet had previously classified it as a Level-12 Peak Destruction powerhouse, but after truly witnessing it attack, Saine realized this thing was even more troublesome than the records suggested.
It was not in a hurry to charge the lines, nor did it rely on widespread contaminating diffusion to kill and wound enemies like the Star-Shattering Moth Emperor.
The Boundary-Severing Bronze Corpse merely walked forward.
One step.
A stretch of space vanished.
Then another step.
The trajectory in front of one of the Mechanical Civilization's semi-fixed war turrets was forcibly cut short. Twelve beams of rule light that should have blasted into the Destruction Creature tide bent midway into another set of fractured coordinates, then slammed into the Limitless Time-Space Legion's flank and erupted in a
