Lesser seafolk were, in the end, merely lesser seafolk.
Though these creatures living in the oceans of the Wizard World basked in the glory of a top-level plane, their combat power was nowhere near as formidable as that of the plane's knights and magicians.
Even Undead Creatures, because they dwelled year-round in undead *** lands, could only survive for long periods if they were the most elite and powerful undead warriors.
The Centaur Clan's Centaur Wasteland was likewise a perilous land of incomparably fierce competition.
As a result, these two slave creature legions of the Azure Source Holy Tower proved somewhat more useful than the seafolk on this battlefield of rotting flesh and blood.
Of course, judging these lesser seafolk in such a manner was somewhat biased.
Just as land creatures inevitably saw their strength greatly diminished when fighting in the sea,
these marine creatures likewise had their actual combat power cut in half upon entering land.
Moreover, lesser seafolk did not represent all seafolk of the Wizard World.
Aside from Sea King Class creatures, those terrifying Wizard World behemoths with outrageously massive bodies, the middle and upper sea clans of the Wizard World were all outstanding wielders of water-element energy.
They were the true representatives of the Wizard World's oceanic might.
Employing lesser seafolk as cheap cannon-fodder legions... only an Holy Tower with relatively shallow foundations like the Azure Source Holy Tower would do such a thing.
There were also several winding narrow rivers across the battlefield where Saine was located.
However, these underground rivers were utterly insufficient for all of the Azure Source Holy Tower's sea-folk cannon fodder to spread out and fight.
The enormous battle losses caused the sea-folk cannon fodder's morale to plummet.
This brought up another hidden flaw of the Azure Source Holy Tower Legion.
