After leaving his mentor Luluenman, Saine began making preparations for his trip to the Star Harbor beyond the plane.
Accompanying Saine to the Star Harbor this time was Lonas, a Level-3 Magician who had only recently taken up the post of dean of the Holy Tower Academy.
Saine was fairly acquainted with this Third-Level Great Magician. They had carried out quite a few missions together over the years.
Because Azure Source Holy Tower had suffered heavy losses in the war in the Wild Gorilla Star Region, there had been many changes in recent years to positions such as Holy Tower dean and Grade Director.
Judging by personal strength alone, Lonas, whose reputation among Third-Level Great Magicians was unremarkable and who seemed to have only just entered the third level, was not qualified to serve as dean.
But Azure Source Holy Tower had suffered grievous losses some time ago.
And though Master Lonas lacked sufficient strength, his seniority was more than enough.
He was among the early core members of Azure Source Holy Tower. It was said that he had joined the Holy Tower while still a Second-Level Magician.
A century ago, when Saine had just begun to distinguish himself in the Regional Academy War, this Third-Level Great Magician had also only recently broken through.
It was precisely for this reason that Master Lonas possessed a particularly strong sense of belonging toward Azure Source Holy Tower.
As a disciple of the tower master, Saine also knew that Archimedes, the old dean who was one of Azure Source Holy Tower's main pillars, would be leaving Azure Source Holy Tower in a few decades.
It was not because tower master Luluenman's compensation for the old dean was insufficient, nor because the old dean was too aged and frail to continue serving as dean.
