As though every sound had vanished, perishing in this cold darkness like death itself. Only in the deepest part of the soul, a distant song echoed like an illusion.

On the battlefield, as everyone looked up in shock, they could see the Pitch-black Blazing Sun slowly emerging from the distant rift.
Darkness surged forth like light, crossing the divide between reality and illusion.
Like an invisible palm spreading a hundred fingers, swaying and dancing, it washed over the sky, passed through the barriers of depth, and extended toward the Present Realm.
It devoured every ray of light in its path. The border defense line and the Three Great Blockades were like nonexistent phantoms, unable to stop that terrifying darkness born from the same source as it passed effortlessly through them.
At last, the endless darkness radiating from the solar disc spread across the Present Realm like wings, slowly closing.
Once more, it shrouded everything.

In the nearly suffocating silence, Yegor crushed the cup in his hand, nearly hysterical. "Why didn't the Three Great Blockades stop it?! What the hell is wrong with the Present Realm's defenses? Are they made of paper?!"
"Because aside from seeing it with our own eyes, we have detected nothing at all, Director Yegor."
