Being humiliated so brazenly.
In his anger, Fok Siu Tong couldn't help but slam his palm onto the tea table.
The small, delicate teacups wobbled from the impact, and a few drops of tea spilled out.
The two bodyguards standing by immediately reached inside their suit collars.
Song Ren remained seated, unmoved.
However, Fok Siu Tong raised his hand and stopped them from taking further action.
He sat back down, his face dark:
"What do you want!"
"You're Bao'er's person. Does Bao'er know you asked me out just to threaten me?"
Song Ren sneered, "Does Miss Zhu know that her future father-in-law is someone who will do anything for profit, even someone who would sell out Sir Zhu?"
Hearing this, Fok Siu Tong's expression turned even uglier.
He didn't know how much crucial information A Lok had in his hands.
And this person in front of him was clearly working with A Lok!
He felt a surge of anger and took several deep breaths, finally calming down a bit:
"Speak, what exactly do you want!"
Fok Siu Tong ultimately couldn't withstand the pressure and chose to temporarily bow his head and concede.
This was within Song Ren's expectations.
After all, people like him, who were proud of their status, loved themselves the most.
How could he directly clash with an underground boxer? Compromise was only a matter of time.
With the negotiation back on track, Song Ren stopped wasting words.
What he wanted to do was simple.
On one hand, he wanted Fok Siu Tong to find a way to get A Lok and Yau Kong Ngau's group out of Stanley Prison early.
On the other hand, he wanted Fok Siu Tong to acquire a legitimate security company in the shortest possible time and transfer the shares unconditionally.
Song Ren didn't intend to go undercover in the triad, but he had established a presence in Stanley.
And with missions related to the triad on his back, contact with, or even action against, the triad was unavoidable.
A security company would be the most convenient tool for him to use through legitimate channels, and it would also be more justifiable.
Moreover, with the Fook Shing Building as a platform.
In terms of resources, once Song Ren made a name for himself, he could easily connect with top-tier elites, and his business dealings would also be much smoother.
Coupled with his identity as a police informant, a little reasonable utilization of these factors would make things much easier for him.
The two conditions Song Ren proposed were not difficult.
At most, it would cost more money. If this hidden danger could be completely resolved, Fok Siu Tong would definitely not hesitate.
But Song Ren made it clear that he intended to exploit him for life.
This was what made Fok Siu Tong the most uncomfortable.
A mere street punk fighting underground boxing dared to get on his head.
Fok Siu Tong was filled with rage but had no outlet, and he had to grit his teeth and swallow it down.
In the short term, he could only compromise and appease the other party for now.
He needed time to first deal with some of the unclean aspects of those past matters.
Half a month later, the back door of Stanley Prison.
Five people in prison uniforms walked out one after another.
Yau Kong Ngau looked up and took a deep breath of air.
After years of absence, he had finally walked out of Stanley Prison.
"Brother Ngau!"
"Brother Ngau!"
"Brother Ngau!"
"Brother Ngau!"
The voices of several people beside him pulled Yau Kong Ngau's thoughts back to reality.
Turning around, he saw his other brothers who were released from prison at the same time.
His former police teammates, who were imprisoned in Stanley Prison at the same time due to charges of forced confession and manslaughter.
Remarkably, on the same day, all of them were released ahead of schedule.
Young Master, Bao Zhu, Ah Wah, and Mo Yat Chuen.
Each of them bore scars of varying sizes on their bodies and faces, remnants from their time inside.
Young Master Chiu Chi Keung had it the worst.
The prison block where he was held was the same one that had captured the most inmates during their team's operations.
During his years in Stanley, he had suffered inhuman torture, which not only rendered him impotent but also disfigured half of his face, leaving it hideously scarred.
After their release, the men were still a bit confused. Their sentences were supposed to have a few more months left.
They hadn't expected to be informed of their release so soon.
Though they didn't understand why, they certainly wouldn't object to leaving a place that felt like hell.
Yau Kong Ngau scanned his four brothers, then thought of their fifth brother who was now deceased, his expression darkening slightly.
But he quickly composed himself. "Ah Wah, Bao Zhu, Ah Chuen, Young Master."
The five of them exchanged glances and embraced each other tightly.
Not far away, a voice interrupted their moment of brotherhood.
"Brother Ngau, you can save the sentimental talk for later. If you want to hug more, you can sleep naked together tonight, no problem."
Yau Kong Ngau turned around and looked towards the three cars parked nearby, just outside the gate.
A Lok, who had been released ten days prior, stood by his car.
He was dressed sharply in a suit and trousers, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and sporting a slicked-back hairstyle favored by successful businessmen.
With a flamboyant wave, he called out, "Brother Ngau, good to see you again."
By another car, Siu Jai Ming, released just a few days ago, also stood.
He too was dressed impeccably, wearing a pair of mirrored sunglasses, and raised a hand to greet him, "Brother Ngau!"
Yau Kong Ngau smiled silently, nodded at them, and then looked at the last person stepping out of a third car.
He walked forward proactively. "Brother Ren."
Song Ren shared a brief hug with him. "Welcome back."
Ah Wah and the others were still mystified, muttering amongst themselves:
"Who is that? Brother Ngau seems to respect him a lot."
"When did Brother Ngau get to know these people? I had no idea."
"Are they brothers from the same block?"
Yau Kong Ngau waved them over and introduced them:
"Brother Ren, these are my brothers, Ah Wah, Bao Zhu, Ah Chuen, and Young Master."
A Lok chuckled from the side, "We already knew. Otherwise, Brother Ren wouldn't have arranged for your early release."
Song Ren smiled and then shook hands with each of the four men.
Following Yau Kong Ngau's lead, the four men also addressed Song Ren as "Brother Ren," though their tone was still a bit unfamiliar.
Inside the car, the brothers huddled together, secretly asking Yau Kong Ngau:
"Brother Ngau, who is that?"
"He looks really tough."
"You seem to respect him a lot?"
Yau Kong Ngau replied, "Of course, he's tough. He can take on dozens of people alone. Brother Ren's skills are incredible."
Hearing this, the others immediately understood.
If there was one person who had gained the most notoriety in Stanley Prison over the past month, it was the monster from Block Nine.
Monster, Terminator, Beast, Tyrannosaurus...
All sorts of exaggerated nicknames were bestowed upon him.
The stories of his exploits grew louder and more widespread, reaching almost unbelievable levels.
Thinking that Brother Ngau was in the same block, they figured it all out.
Young Master quietly asked, "Brother Ngau, where are we going?"
Yau Kong Ngau replied, "Brother Ren wants us to have a welcome dinner together. Arrangements will be made later."
As he spoke, he turned to A Lok. "A Lok, what is Brother Ren doing now?"
A Lok grinned slyly. "Brother Ren?"
"He's very influential now. The recently rising Golden Shield Security Company? Brother Ren is in charge there."
A Lok briefly recounted Song Ren's accomplishments over the past fortnight.
For the past two weeks, Song Ren spent most of his time handling the security company's affairs.
The equity transfer, business arrangements, and various facility issues all required his personal attention.
He had no choice, as he didn't have a single helper.
Fortunately, in the following days, A Lok, Siu Jai Ming, and some of the thugs from District 9 were released one after another.
They did help out with recruiting staff and making business arrangements.
Otherwise, he wouldn't even have had time to go to Fook Shing Building to fight a few matches.
