Transit Station
"This is the taste of power!"
It must be admitted that power is a very effective tool.
For ordinary travelers, it typically takes about 5 days to use Teleportation Array.
However, with Ailini's instructions, Linsey's time was compressed to just two days.
That very night.
Linsey rode the lights of the commercial district through the darkness to the teleportation plaza.
He was allowed to enter the teleportation plaza, where two disgruntled men stood nearby, muttering about their day's experiences.
Why the rush this time?
"Who knows? Anyway, we're here early. Since we can use the Teleportation Array, why bother with anything else?"
"But I haven't bought any food for the journey yet!"
"..."
Is this considered a problem caused by the flight being moved up?
Linsey knew that the other person's troubles were because of her.
He was a little embarrassed, rummaged through his bag, pulled out 10 Meat Biscuit, and handed them over:
"If you don't mind, I have plenty of food here."
Linsey's sudden act of kindness left the two travelers feeling bewildered.
They naturally didn't accept the offer of kindness, but instead asked warily, "Sir, are you also going to White City?"
Once the Teleportation Array is activated, it can only lock onto one location; this is essentially a probe.
Linsey nodded first, then shook her head. "I plan to go to the world where the Seven Seas Alliance is located. White City is just a transit point."
The traveler then accepted Linsey's Meat Biscuit: "Thank you. We're going to White City for the Forest Conference, but unfortunately we're not going the same way."
"..."
Linsey chatted casually with the two travelers for a few minutes.
A moment later, a staff member from the nearby transfer station jogged over and handed Linsey a package of documents. "Sir, these are your review documents."
Linsey took the document:
Is there anything else I need to do?
The staff member pointed to the teleportation plaza beneath their feet. "You just need to stand here."
After the staff left, Linsey opened the file package and glanced at it briefly.
He originally thought this proof was a special tool imbued with the power of the Essence.
But in reality, it was just a pile of paper documents, including a booklet specifically for recording experiences of using the Teleportation Array.
"This little bit of stuff costs 20 gold coins..."
"How can ordinary people afford such a price to immigrate to the borderlands?"
Linsey muttered something to himself, and the traveler next to him explained, "Ordinary people's border migration is organized, and the costs are completely different from those of us traveling alone."
Just as the group was talking.
A unique Essence fluctuation emanated from the edge of the plaza, seemingly containing two diametrically opposed qualities: flexibility and composure.
Linsey turned her head to look.
During the day, Shu Er walked out of the office building and stood by the square, injecting his Essence into the ground.
As the array inscribed on the ground lit up, the light and shadow on the entire square distorted. Linsey turned her head and saw that even the other travelers who were close by could not see clearly.
"Visual distortion caused by spatial distortion?"
Linsey didn't have time to observe further.
Just a few seconds later, everything around me became clear again.
The chaotic light and shadow, in their distortion, reorganize and transform into a regular and normal field of vision.
"Have we arrived at White City already?"
Linsey looked around.
Unlike the teleportation plaza in Remote Yue City.
The Teleportation Array in White City is located in a magnificent indoor hall with a row of rectangular skylights that let in light. The building's structure and interior decoration are uniformly characterized by prominent square angles and a solemn appearance dominated by white.
Four guards in blue armor stood watch in the hall.
Throughout the entire teleportation site, only the Awakened One who was in charge of the Teleportation Array was not much different from the Remote Yue City.
A woman's voice rang out:
"Please evacuate in an orderly manner and leave on foot through the passage to the due north."
Linsey followed the flow of people out of the teleportation hall.
Next to it was a reception hall with a well-organized and orderly style of service.
On the left are people queuing in an orderly fashion to enter the Teleportation Array, while on the right are those who have left and are heading to the reception area to register.
The person handling Linsey was a meticulous-looking young girl.
She took the written file from Linsey and carefully reviewed it:
"Mr. Linsey, you have come here from the Remote Yue City in the Courtyard in the Forest World, and this is your first recorded teleportation registration."
"May I ask what business you plan to handle in White City?"
Linsey replied earnestly:
"I'm heading to the Seven Seas Alliance; White City is just a stopover."
"Okay." The girl in charge of reviewing the documents immediately began processing them, while introducing them to Linsey, "Turn left after exiting the main hall here, and there's a temporary inn run by White City. It costs 5 Silver Coin a day, including food and lodging."
"We will deliver your teleportation arrangement to your room between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM tomorrow. We hope you will receive it on time."
Linsey nodded and said, "No problem, I'll keep track of the time."
The girl continued:
"The Teleportation Array in White City connects to a mid-level Teleportation Array on Cato Island belonging to the Seven Seas Alliance. The one-time usage fee you need to pay is 4 White City Gold Coin."
"Please arrange for the documents to be delivered at the same time tomorrow afternoon, is that alright?"
White City Gold Coin?
Linsey left in a hurry and hadn't exchanged any other currencies yet.
"How would you convert it to Rough Gold Coin or Merchant Gold Coin?"
The two types of gold coins that Linsey mentioned are both highly versatile.
The girl being examined didn't need to consult a gold coin conversion table; she could get the result quickly through mental calculation:
"For Merchant Gold Coin, you will need to pay 3 gold coins and 4 Silver Coin, and we will also need to charge a handling fee of 1 Silver Coin."
"Average crude gold coins require payment of 5 coins, and the handling fee is also 1 Silver Coin."
Wow! This price is much cheaper than what merchants charge! The girl's document review was basically complete. Linsey nodded and turned to leave. "I basically have no problems."
The girl then added, "Mr. Linsey, there are also currency exchange offices officially operated by White City near the hotel, or you can go to the commercial district and find the Merchant Guild to exchange currency."
"Your registered identity is that of an Awakened One. Please exercise restraint in your behavior within the city!"
"..."
Leave the teleportation hall.
Linsey walked onto a mountain path. The city was built on the mountainside, and the teleportation hall was located on the edge of a cliff, with only one way to safely enter and exit.
Walking on the street, you can hardly see any street vendors, and the streets are clean and tidy.
"This place is really different from the Courtyard in the Forest."
Linsey remarked.
In the White City, people act in an orderly manner, just like the sharply defined white buildings.
He then checked into a hotel run by the White City government. There was a notice board next to the door stating that White City would be holding Forest Conference soon, which specifically distinguished between awakened people and ordinary people.
Linsey followed all the rules without any problems.
On the afternoon of the third day, he was able to schedule a time to use the Teleportation Array.
Linsey's vision returned to normal only after the scene before her eyes distorted.
He immediately felt soft sand beneath his feet.
Immediately, a salty sea breeze slapped against my face, and the dazzling sunlight shone down from the sky, making it difficult to open my eyes for a moment.
Linsey blinked:
"This... is the Seven Seas Alliance?"
