Chapter 407
The sky is dark tonight.
The dark clouds drove away the Stellaris and the moon, leaving only the sea breeze and the lights on the ship, swaying on the undulating sea.
Linsey was dragged onto the deck by Wala Wala.
The people of the Seven Seas Alliance don't care about the weather at sea.
Just like yesterday, the audience gathered on the deck, and a graceful young woman was already dancing in the wind in the center of the stage.
"Huh? There aren't any good seats left?"
Wala Wala looked somewhat annoyed.
The two of them came out of the cabin late today, so they couldn't get a good viewing spot in advance like they did yesterday.
"Never mind, let's go sit over there."
The girl didn't complain much.
She changed direction, pulled Linsey to the side of the boat, and with a light jump, sat on the railing.
Linsey followed and sat down next to him, and the two quietly enjoyed the performance on stage.
The night was deep.
There seemed to be some kind of luminous fish swimming close to the surface of the sea, adding golden stars to the ocean.
Linsey listened to the sound of the sea crashing against the ship, the rustling wind, and the performances on stage, and for a moment she began to enjoy the atmosphere.
"Linsey... Mr. Linsey?!"
Just then, a voice called out from the side, and a man came running over in small steps.
Linsey looked closely and realized it was the heartbroken man he and Wala Wala had rescued from the crowd yesterday. Seeing him jogging over, Wala Wala asked, "Hey, aren't you the guy from yesterday?"
The man who ran over looked bewildered and asked Linsey with a puzzled expression, "Who is this...?"
Linsey explained, "She was the one who actually dragged you out yesterday. But before you woke up, Wala Wala had already left."
The man then suddenly realized:
"I see, I..."
Wala Wala reached out to stop the other person from saying anything more, "No need for thanks or anything like that."
"Everyone is watching the performance now. Just be more careful when you're out and about in the future."
The man nodded and sat down with Linsey and the others.
However, he was not an Awakened One, so unlike Linsey and the other two, he did not boldly jump and sit directly on the railing. Instead, he leaned against the inside of the railing and looked up at the performance on the stage.
The young people who performed in the play yesterday were still present today.
They followed yesterday's script, enacting the next scene of the story.
Following Lily Danny's suicide, her beloved Adores embarked on a quest to avenge her death. However, after succeeding, Adores was consumed by emptiness and despair, ultimately meeting his tragic end at Lily Danny Dani's grave, following his beloved in death.
Until the play ended.
Linsey and Wala Wala seemed fine, but the man beside them had tears in his eyes and was sobbing slightly.
Having learned from yesterday's lesson, he managed to control his emotions this time and didn't completely lose control.
But the outpouring of grief and indignation seemed utterly genuine.
"Friend, what's wrong with you?"
It happened to be during a break in the performance, Wala Wala turned around and asked:
"You wouldn't be emotionally affected, so you wouldn't see these kinds of love tragedies, would you?"
The man almost instinctively denied it. "No, that's not it!"
"Nana and I are truly in love. Our family did not approve of our marriage, so two months ago, Mr. Kuwait took Nana back with him."
"Nana, Kuwait?" Wala Wala raised an eyebrow. "The Kuwait you're talking about, you wouldn't happen to be Neilgard Kuwait, would you?"
Kuwait is City of a Thousand Sails and an artistic family.
The current leader is a Seventh Stage art connoisseur.
Two months ago, their daughter was forcibly dragged back home, which caused a minor disturbance.
The man nodded in agreement:
"That's right, but I have no artistic achievements, nor am I an awakened being with power. So..."
Wala Wala continued to ask:
"So you boarded this ship to go to the City of a Thousand Sails in search of your true love?"
"And seeing what happened to Lily Danny and Adores, you projected your emotions onto them, so you couldn't control yourself?"
The man seemed hesitant to continue, but he nodded nonetheless.
"Um..."
Wala Wala frowned.
But in just a moment, an inspiring smile appeared on the girl's spotless and beautiful face.
"Alright! Come on! I'll perform a piece for everyone!"
"The wind at night, like a giant child, awakens in the untimely darkness and begins to play and make a ruckus!"
A young girl sings a poem a cappella.
The night breeze on the sea carried her figure, over the shoulders and heads of the audience, gliding all the way to the center of the stage.
The night cast a pitch-black violin into her hands.
At the center of the stage, a girl in a white dress, like a sea sprite, began to play, holding the night breeze in her hands.
The moment the music started.
People have forgotten the darkness and silence of the night.
The melody celebrating love, like the dawn sun piercing through the dark clouds, shines into the hearts of every audience member.
Wala Wala's playing technique is exquisite. Every string comes alive under her control. The notes are as light and leaping as dancing butterflies, and as powerful and vigorous as rushing torrents. The sound is sometimes low and melodious, like the whispers between lovers; sometimes high and passionate, just like the burning flames of love, fiery and unrestrained, and deeply affectionate.
The audience was completely immersed in the passionate melody, their heartstrings trembling as the girl's piano playing stirred the waves.
Even those who have forgotten the taste of love still trembled slightly at this moment, and tears of excitement began to well up in their eyes.
It was as if, in this stirring music, I rediscovered the emotions that had been buried deep within me.
Time slips away quietly.
As the last note faded, the entire venue fell into an astonishing silence.
This was immediately followed by thunderous applause and cheers.
Wala Wala walked gracefully off the stage, and the people around her automatically made way for her, as if the water on both sides of the road was receding automatically.
The man next to Linsey was already sobbing uncontrollably.
He could certainly sense that the Wala Wala music was encouraging his love.
Thank you for liking my music.
Wala Wala gently patted the man's shoulder, then jumped onto the ship's railing and asked Linsey meaningfully:
"How is it, Linsey? Can you feel the power in the music?"
"You should practice hard in the future too."
"..."
Linsey fell silent.
It must be admitted that he was moved by the power of music.
The girl's performance was so amazing that Linsey's heart was completely filled, to the point that he couldn't tell whether there was any Source Material Skill mixed in.
But the only thing he was certain of was that music had the power to move people's hearts, and the person who wielded that power was right in front of him!
This idea didn't even go through my brain.
Just like when people see something beautiful, they naturally desire it.
Linsey couldn't help but speak:
"Shall I... I'll try playing it too?"
