Linsey and Alvitte's gazes occasionally turned toward the side.

The situation on the island was just as they had expected.

The city was being built at a feverish pace. Though a towering city wall blocked outsiders from peering inside,

at the highest point within sight,

a lofty spire rose above the grayish-white stone walls. It stood in the center of the floating island, stabbing straight toward the sky.

If an Awakened sensed things carefully,

they could also detect powerful source material energy lingering beneath that tall tower.

Alvitte: The aura of that skill—there are craftsmen over there too. They're Fifth Stage.

Linsey: They're prioritizing the construction of the ruler's castle. The attached city is clearly being built at a slower pace.

Linsey and Alvitte chatted animatedly in the Friend Channel.

From where they stood, the grayish-white walls blocked their view, so they could not actually see anything inside the city.

But every Awakened had their own abilities.

Using her senses, Alvitte detected the movements of the Awakened within the city.

For Linsey, it was even simpler.

Linsey: The city's original structure has basically been completely demolished, and the salvaged materials are being used to build the new city.

Alvitte: What about the specific details of the buildings inside?

Linsey: The city is divided into three sections. At the center is the castle spire we could see over the wall. It covers roughly a hundred mu and should be the Palace where the Silver Witch lives. Beyond the Palace are the residential areas for ordinary people and Awakened. Two districts have just been completed. Further out is the largest section.
