In the morning, Abel had breakfast early. He was satisfied with everything here except one thing: the food. Although he did not insist on eating meat, there should at least have been some meat for it to count as normal food!
But this was the land of the Elves, where most food consisted of various fruits. At most, he could order some extra bread. Meat was extremely rare.
"Steward, have Luca make preparations. I'm going to the Alchemist Guild!" Abel instructed Steward Hati.
"Yes, Master!" Steward Hati bowed and walked out.
Abel changed into an alchemist's robe, one the Alchemist Guild had prepared for him. He pinned the Potion Master Badge to his chest before finally walking out the door.
In the garden lawn before the entrance, an exquisite silver-white Flying Carriage was already waiting. Steward Hati opened the carriage door for Abel, and Abel entered the cabin and sat down.
Under the control of the coachman Luca, four Pegasi smoothly pulled the Flying Carriage off the ground and flew toward the area beyond the imperial city.
Wanfa Imperial City had already begun to bustle in the morning. All kinds of carriages and mounts crowded the streets below, but Abel noticed that there was not a single flying mount in the sky above the entire city, much less a Flying Carriage.
"Luca, is flying forbidden within the imperial city?" Abel thought of this question only now and asked the coachman Luca.
"Master, aside from flying mounts and Flying Carriages with permission, any Elf who flies through the air will be shot down by the city ballistae controlled by the Defense Array!" Coachman Luca respectfully replied.
Abel nodded. He knew that this was Empress Louisa's way of compensating him, as well as a way of showing how much she valued him.
