The road leading to the Pentagon was rarely this jammed with traffic.
Many people had seen Los Angeles at four in the morning, but few had seen the Pentagon ablaze with lights at that hour.
Inside the Pentagon, the emergency meeting continued without pause.
Everyone was waiting tensely. When the decisive naval battle erupted in the Ryukyu Islands, President Jesmin, CIA Director Judien, Defense Minister Harmon, the Chief of the General Staff, the Navy Minister, the Secretary of State, the Finance Minister, and a host of other military and political leaders had all cast aside their drowsiness. At this critical juncture, no one could sleep.
After the sixty carrier-based aircraft from the Beautiful Country's USS Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier, together with more than two hundred air force fighters stationed in the Ryukyu Islands, took off, the place fell into a state of excited frenzy.
The theory that aircraft carriers determined victory dominated naval warfare on Blue Star. Three hundred sorties, combined with strikes from the follow-up carrier aircraft of the Carl Vinson aircraft carrier and Washington aircraft carrier, would be enough to leave the Far East Task Force of the Jieko Group without even a place to bury its dead.
But that excitement did not last long. Once the Head of State officially emerged from the water, burrowing out from beneath the sea, one piece of terrible news after another awaited them.
Fighter jets were beaten like clumsy pigeons, warships were blasted beneath the waves one after another, and even their own nuclear-powered aircraft carrier failed to escape. That terrifying battleship had blown it to the bottom of the sea.
Through the satellite reconnaissance feed, they could see that the super-battleship, more than five hundred meters long, carried enormous-caliber naval guns. The shells it fired were not
