Outside the capital city of Eldorei, within the command tent of the Resistance Army.
"Then it's settled. At dawn tomorrow, the Resistance will launch a full-scale assault on Eldorei. This will be the battle that decides the fate of the world. The Dragon Aspects will aid us—we'll wipe out those damned demons and destroy the Portal at the Well of Eternity!"
Jarod Shadowsong, the commander of the allied forces, spoke with fervor to the assembled crowd in the tent.
After the elven alliance began their siege and regrouped, the demons of the Burning Legion had also shifted tactics, digging in to defend Eldorei—a city they had already ravaged into rubble.
Now, with the Dragon Soul artifact bolstering the Portal on the shores of the Well of Eternity, its stabilization and expansion had accelerated drastically. Time was running out for the Resistance Army.
So Jarod had devised a special strike operation, aiming to shatter the Burning Legion's greatest advantage in one blow.
While the Resistance Army and the Dragon Legion launched a frontal assault on Eldorei, an elite suicide squad would slip into the city amid the chaos, race straight for the central Well of Eternity, seize the Dragon Soul, and use it to permanently destroy the Legion's Portal.
"Then the specific roster is set... Malfurion, you'll lead the main assault alongside Masters Krasus, Rhonin, and Elisande. The dragons will airlift you directly to the Well of Eternity—retrieve or destroy the Dragon Soul... Brox, you'll assist them and keep them safe. Any issues?"
"No issues, but we need one more member..." Elisande said with a faint smile.
Just then, a magic circle suddenly appeared in the tent, radiating intense energy light, and Boss Hu strode out from within.
He was back in his usual showy attire, gripping his super-artifact staff, "Origin of Divine Power, Azeroth Binder of Magic," with a gleaming Runic Disk floating behind him.
As if he owned the place, he walked over to the conference table, squeezing between Krasus and Rhonin.
"Count me in. I've got plenty of reason to join the fight against the Dark Titan Sargeras."
Aside from a few familiar faces who'd met him before, everyone else in the tent dropped to their knees in unison.
"All hail the Divine Lord! The elven alliance welcomes your arrival!"
"By the Titans! I'm seeing a living Titan—Loken's beard, ah... Forgive me, Divine Lord, no offense meant... Your creation, the Earthlings, salute you!"
Basking in a round of reverence and praise, Hu Feng waved a hand, signaling them to rise.
"Alright, alright, that's enough. I don't care about formalities... Anyway, you guys make the plans, and I'll back up the elite strike team. If your plans all fail, then I'll take on Sargeras head-on myself... And by the way, Malfurion, those antlers on your head are pretty nice. I can feel strong natural energy—no wonder you're the Forest Demi-god's most prized disciple."
Malfurion was flattered, almost overwhelmed. He'd witnessed this Titan Divine Lord's power firsthand—even the mightiest Dragon Aspect, the Earth-Warder Neltharion, had been beaten into submission. Now, suddenly receiving praise from him stirred a hint of pride and vanity in Malfurion's heart.
"You flatter me, Divine Lord. Allow me also to apologize—I once held prejudice and hostility toward the Highborne. But under your leadership, they've proven themselves. They are our kin, part of us, and they've fought just as bravely in this war." With that, the Druid bowed deeply.
Krasus and Rhonin were beyond numb at this point. They'd grown used to this Titan Divine Lord's obsession with altering fate.
Now it seemed the future Archdruid Malfurion was no longer as hostile toward the Highborne and Arcane magic as in the destined timeline. The ripple effects of this change would be enormous.
Hu Feng chuckled, then clapped Malfurion on the shoulder.
"Never let prejudice or hatred cloud your eyes. I can feel you're anxious right now—it'll mess with your judgment. Is it because of that captured Priestess of the Moon, Tyrande?"
"Ah... yes... Forgive me, Divine Lord. I can't stop worrying about Tyrande." Malfurion's face was etched with concern.
"Nothing to be ashamed of, Malfurion. If it helps ease your mind, I can tell you this: the glory of Elune is watching over her at all times. She's in no danger right now."
Malfurion's spirits lifted instantly, his excitement surging. "Really? Hmm... I don't doubt you, Divine Lord... Thank Elune, praise the Titans—Tyrande is safe..."
Well, as long as this lovesick fool knew Tyrande was okay, he'd unleash extraordinary combat power, his whole demeanor transformed.
That night, Krasus and Rhonin stood atop a tall watchtower in the allied camp, gazing at Eldorei's massive city, lit by the eerie green fel flames in the distance.
"What's up, you two? In the mood for some evening breeze? If things go smoothly, this war should wrap up soon, and you can return to the future. Isn't that good news?"
"Ah, greetings, Divine Lord... To answer you, we were just thinking about what comes after this war, so..."
"You mean the Great Sundering? The world shatters, the Kalimdor Continent splits into pieces?" Hu Feng walked over, leaning on the railing to gaze into the distance, cutting off Krasus as usual.
"Yes. Countless lives lost, the continent torn apart, the Night Elves relegated to the world's corner, hidden from then on... And your Suramar City... in the destined history, it drifts south across the Endless Sea on a fragment called the Broken Isles, vanishing without a trace."
Hu Feng nodded thoughtfully. "Maybe the Great Sundering can't be stopped, but everything I've done should make the future a little better... At least I saved Suramar and changed the Highborne's fate."
Rhonin leaned in curiously.
"Divine Lord, can you tell us how you plan to save Suramar City? It's a massive city, second only to the capital Eldorei."
"Simple—just fly it into the sky." Hu Feng shrugged in reply.
"Dalaran! Ah... I mean, in our future timeline, there's another magic city floating in the sky, called Dalaran... But it's nowhere near Suramar's scale—more like a mini-city."
"Well, then it won't be the only sky-city anymore." Hu Feng laughed.
With great power comes great responsibility—pure nonsense. Hu Feng only wanted to act on his own whims and heart.
He was never a saint or a righteous man, let alone the world's babysitter, and certainly not some bleeding-heart do-gooder.
Those Titans of the Pantheon took the fate of all beings as their duty—he could never do that. He just needed to look after what mattered to him.
So, expecting a great Titan deity to selflessly save the world?
Sorry, this isn't that kind of idealistic, saintly stage.
