Goblins and Dragons

On the eve of the full merger of the two timelines.

The Alliance's and Horde's main war airship fleets had all taken to the skies, temporarily forming a joint fleet with one of the Night Empire's War Floating Islands.

The War Floating Island and the Horde's airship fleet set out from the Azshara region of the Kalimdor Continent, while the Alliance's airship fleet departed from the mountaintop airport of Ironforge. The two fleets advanced side by side toward their opposite departure points, passing through the Maelstrom at the center of the Endless Sea and conducting lateral patrols back and forth, striving to bring the Maelstrom region under military surveillance as well.

Meanwhile, on the Northrend Continent in the far north, to cooperate with the mortals' actions, the Dragon Legion of Wyrmrest Temple had placed the entire northern continent under surveillance. Dragons flew in packs through the skies over every corner of Northrend.

If there was anyone in the entire world unaffected by this tense, grim atmosphere, it was the goblins of Kezan in the South Seas.

This was the headquarters and ancestral nest of the Bilgewater Cartel, and the entire island had been packed full of the goblins' sheet-metal apartment blocks.

On the eve of the timeline merger, this metal city remained awash in neon lights and revelry. Goblin brothers went to work, relaxed, or headed to the bank. The black exhaust belched out by countless motorized tricycles made the city's air increasingly foul, while sewage ran across the streets and dirty oil splattered everywhere.

Timelines? Merger? What did that have to do with us? Would it affect the banks or the local economy? No? Then don't waste my time with that useless nonsense. Time was money!
