"Oh, they've been sleeping soundly on my turf for so long—have they ever paid a single rent or land fee? How could there be such a good deal in this world? I don't care... Wake every last one of them up right now and make them work honestly for the Empire. Don't even think about freeloading. What kind of people are these? Do they have even a shred of shame? So what if they're Wild Demigods? Does being Wild Demigods mean they can freeload?"
On the Kalimdor Continent, in the Eternal Night Palace, Boss Hu repeated to Avenger Argus the exact words he had told Forest Demi-god Cenarius.
Argus did not know whether to laugh or cry. He shook his head, raised the cup in his hand, and drained the strong liquor in one gulp.
"Young kinsman, I truly don't know whether to praise or criticize you. Can't you change the way you mortal races think, along with your habitual patterns of thought? It does not suit the identity of us Titans."
"Change my ass. Am I wrong? I'm not some antique fossil from your Pantheon, charging in with all that selfless transformation and giving, then leaving without taking a single coin. Stupidly walking away wanting nothing, asking for nothing—what's the point?"
Boss Hu looked utterly indignant as he rambled on and on at Argus without end.
A moment later...
"Oh, right. What did you come back to see me for this time?" Boss Hu finally remembered the main issue.
"I didn't come back to listen to you complain about this. I came for gold coins. I've already said it more than thirty times."
Argus rubbed his brow, his face full of helplessness. This kinsman had finally been willing to listen to him.
"Oh, gold coins. How much?"
"One million."
