Boom!
The steel outer wall of Razor Hill took an enchanted high-explosive shell head-on. The violent blast and soaring flames sent iron fragments flying everywhere and left visible cracks across the wall.
"Surrender immediately and open the gates, or the next round won't be just one cannon!"
An orc warlord gripped an arcane loudspeaker and bellowed at the defenders within Razor Hill, then waved his hand to signal the artillery units to begin loading.
Inside Razor Hill Fortress, after a brief bout of noise and confusion, the Kor'kron soldiers quickly formed up and rushed onto the walls. They returned fire with the heavy machine guns mounted atop the ramparts and the firearms in their hands. The mortars on the walls also began adjusting their aim and firing positions. Clearly, they had no intention of obediently surrendering and opening the gates.
Roars also echoed through the sky as the Dragonmaw Clan aerial riders loyal to Warchief Garrosh drove their armored Proto-Dragon mounts into battle.
These Proto-Dragons had been bred from dragon eggs looted by the Horde expeditionary force from the Storm Peaks during the Northrend campaign.
Dragonmaw Great Warlord Zaela was a powerful female orc, a fanatical supporter of Garrosh, a core representative of the orc radicals, and an extreme adherent of the Orthodox Horde ideal of glory.
To reward her loyalty, Garrosh had given Zaela the most special Proto-Dragon egg. It was the last one in existence, a dragon egg carrying the direct bloodline of the father of Proto-Dragons, Galakrond.
After the hatchling emerged, Zaela named her powerful companion Galakras.
The Dragonmaw Clan's Proto-Dragon riders had copied the Iron Horde Black Dragon Riders' equipment and style. They too had mounted either a heavy machine gun or a rapid-fire cannon on their dragons' backs, with high-explosive bombs hanging along both sides
