Background

Childhood

An Zijin grew up next door to Su Ming and was warmly treated by his parents, but that attention made her a target of jealousy and bullying from other children. She became deeply afraid of loneliness; after Su Ming stopped joining in the bullying and became her friend, she grew strongly attached to him. 19 152 153

Her family later moved to Yinze City. An Zijin retained Su Ming’s childhood statement that she “belonged” to him, treating it as a lifelong promise rather than a joke. 20 21

Return to Longyao City

After her Spiritual Constitution was detected, An Zijin secretly applied for the Yinze–Longyao exchange program to reunite with Su Ming at the Demon Hunter Academy. Her parents initially opposed her traveling alone, but ultimately allowed it after her tearful requests. 20 98
