Qiao Sang stared blankly at Shalala, whose appearance had changed drastically in the distance. Her first thought was:
Holy crap, Shalala really evolved!
Then came her second thought:
As expected of a legendary Phantom Beast—even its evolution light is different from that of ordinary Pet Beasts.
Qiao Sang hurried forward and called out, "Shalala!"
Shalala turned its head.
A ring of golden buds encircled its neck. It had white eyelashes, emerald-green eyes, a white flower tucked behind each ear, and a golden circular pattern on its forehead.
As soon as Qiao Sang approached, she felt the air around her become much fresher. When she saw Shalala from the front, she could not suppress her amazement and exclaimed in delight:
"You evolved!"
Shalala froze for a moment, just about to reply.
But before it could speak, Fang Bao and the others heard the commotion, stopped training, and gathered around.
"Xun Xun!"
Little Seeker arrived first. It appeared out of thin air, widened its eyes, floated around Shalala once, then cried out excitedly.
"Qing Qing."
Qing Bao was the second to arrive. It looked at Shalala's drastically altered appearance, then at Little Seeker, and let out a snickering cry, saying that Shalala looked bigger than it too.
Little Seeker's body instantly stiffened, but it quickly recovered. Waving a paw dismissively, it cried out as though it did not care:
"Xun Xun~"
It's perfectly normal for it to be bigger than me. Besides, what's the use of being big? Haven't all those big Pet Beasts been defeated by me?
Ever since the competition ended and it had seen some online comments about itself, Little Seeker's confidence had soared. It had become much less bothered by the matter of its size.
Qing Bao curled its lips, very dissatisfied with Little Seeker's reaction.
"Ice Saint?"
