After leaving the assessment office, Qiao Sang headed to the Pet Tamer Hall to meet up with Teacher Mikala.
"Finished taking the mission?" Teacher Mikala asked.
Qiao Sang gave an "Mm." "They said there's been a stretch of time where the flowers falling onto the ground over on Cluster Fresh Avenue haven't been absorbed, and they want me to solve the problem."
"Did something happen to the Fragrance Eating Ants over there?" Teacher Mikala guessed.
Qiao Sang immediately voiced her admiration. "Teacher, you even know that!"
As they spoke, the two had already walked out of the Pet Tamer Center.
Teacher Mikala smiled. "While we were in the air just now, I saw quite a few Fragrance Eating Ants below absorbing petals. They all had work badges on them, so I figured they were responsible for that kind of work."
As she spoke, she gestured with her eyes. "Look, there are two Fragrance Eating Ants right there."
Qiao Sang followed her gaze and saw two ant-like Pet Beasts about twenty centimeters long. They had earth-yellow bodies covered in green circular patterns, tube-like mouths, and work badges hanging around their necks as they sucked up petals from the ground.
A voice with the same tone as Little Treasure's sounded beside her:
Let me see... Fragrance Eating Ant, a Ground Type beginner-level Pet Beast. It likes to eat anything that smells good. During the beginner stage, the more fragrant plants it eats, the more likely it is to evolve during the intermediate stage into a Grass-type and Ground Type dual-element Grass-Eating Ant. Since it isn't very smart, it can sometimes be drawn in by fragrant Pet Beasts and mistake them for food, attempting to suck them dry. And because it isn't strong enough, it often gets beaten up badly.
Master,
