The Engineering Team first established a connection between the two sides of the cliff by shooting hemp ropes across with bows and arrows. They then gradually replaced the hemp ropes with Steel Cables and suspension cables.
After the suspension bridge had been built between the two sides of the cliff, construction proceeded simultaneously from both ends. First, they poured the pier foundations on both sides with Reinforced Concrete. Then, on the pier bases at either side of the cliff, they erected two tall steel towers.
At this point, they needed to calculate the precise curvature of the Arch Bridge on the blueprints. Once that was done, they divided the arch into several equal sections. Then, following the shape of each section, they prepared wooden molds for the arch segments in advance and assembled the reinforcing-steel frameworks.
Once everything was ready, they began pouring the arch from the piers on both sides toward the center. The arch was poured section by section. Protruding steel-rebar loops were left on the sides of each section, and Steel Cables were threaded through the loops to suspend the floating arch segment from the temporary towers beside the piers.
After one section had been poured, they hoisted the mold and reinforcing framework for the next section into place and continued pouring.
Throughout the entire construction process, all the reinforcing frameworks, pouring molds, and concrete were hoisted into the air using the cable suspension bridge erected at the very beginning.
Once one section had been poured, Steel Cables were used to pull it up to the towers. In the end, the entire arch joined together in midair over the canyon. After the arch had fully taken shape and become a load-bearing structure, the temporary iron towers standing on both sides could be dismantled. The Steel Cables attached
