Merlin Magic's ring expanded.
Hermione walked straight out of it. The first thing she saw was David Harkness standing before her, his aura filled with a dark magical power no weaker than the aura Voldemort had once possessed.
There was no doubt about it.

The David Harkness opposite her wore jeans and a T-shirt. If one ignored the savage grin on his face, he would look like nothing more than a young man. In a voice steeped in darkness and without the slightest trace of remorse, he nodded directly. "Yes, that's right. I did it."
Hermione asked calmly, "Why?"
