Tony's stomach hurt whenever he thought about it.
Although Lake had his ingenious plan, Tony had his own way over the wall.

Even though he had already figured out how to deal with Lake's rigged-betting scheme, he still didn't quite dare tell Pepper about it. After all, ever since he and Pepper had confirmed their relationship, to be honest, even Tony was afraid of Pepper blowing up at him over certain matters.

Natasha and Adam, who couldn't get a word in edgewise, silently drank their tea while listening to the three Gold Saints converse.
The Ancient One's smile remained unchanged. "The war on Earth is drawing to a close, but King of Gods Zeus's war has only just begun."
Tony chuckled. "We've been fighting for so long over here, while his war is only just beginning. Looks like he won't make it back for Christmas this year."

I should have taken that bet.
Tony thought of the wager Lake had wanted to play once more on the eve of the great battle. Regret suddenly welled up inside him. If he had taken the bet, wouldn't he have been able to win back the daughter he had lost?

I didn't lose. That guy rigged the whistle and ran a crooked house to win.
The Ancient One seemed to see through Tony's thoughts.
