"Here's what happened. Under the Second Prince's orders, I stationed a group of experts he assigned to me in ambush near my island's dock. There was only one order: when the pirates arrived, attack them all at once. I know nothing else. I've only come here now to bring the pirate ship and the bodies of the pirates who failed to escape to the nearest city for registration."
Kerry pushed the entire matter onto the Second Prince. The rest was up to the City Defense Officer's imagination.
Nelson was truly left speechless by Kerry this time. This was the battle report? How many people were in this "group of experts"? How skilled were they? What were their genders and names? What did "attack them all at once" even mean? Had they clashed head-on, or gone in from behind... No, had they circled around and surrounded them?
Kerry had said almost nothing, yet somehow seemed to have explained everything. He was rather pleased with himself. He felt his mind had become much more agile lately. Was that the effect of the Gene Fluid?
"Since that's the case, and you know nothing else, then I can't give you any credit in my report. It looks like the Second Prince lured the pirates into attacking, then sent an ambush to lie in wait. You merely took part in it."
Since the matter involved the Second Prince, Nelson could not question him too closely. Could an officer who had just been demoted to the countryside really ask how many experts the Second Prince had? He had been too stubborn in the past, which was why he had ended up in such a state.
Since it was inappropriate to ask about the experts in the ambush, there was no point asking what method they had
