Li Wei accepted a dangerous plan to impersonate Jiang Xue and take Gu Jinzhi’s place in Western Frontier service in exchange for treatment for Li Cheng. While preparing for the mission, she learned to absorb Abyss Essence from dead monsters and pushed her Vitality to 100, awakening a strange new ability.

• Li Wei discovered the High Martial Minor Assistant and raised her Vitality while searching for a way to save Li Cheng.
• Li Wei agreed to Liang Qiushi’s plan to impersonate Jiang Xue, marry Gu Jinzhi, and take his place in the Western Frontier Defense Army in return for Li Cheng’s treatment.
• Li Wei left Li Cheng in the Liang Family’s care, traveled in cryogenic sleep, and began learning Jiang Xue’s identity and martial skills.
• Li Wei used the system to learn Cold Pool Sinking Jade and traveled to the Jiang Family manor, where she clashed with Jiang Han and learned of Jiang Yao’s strength.
• Li Wei visited the Shark Martial Arts Hall’s colosseum and discovered she could absorb Abyss Essence from dead monsters within about ten meters.
• Li Wei kept training at the arena and absorbed essence from a captured Death Worm while others maneuvered around the planned wedding and Gu Jinzhi’s service.
• Li Wei raised her Vitality from 78 to 89, then exceeded the upgrade limit by reaching 100 and lost consciousness.
• Li Wei woke with Vitality at 100, found she could move and perceive her surroundings in unusual ways, and briefly entered a painful new state.

Li Wei refused Jiang Xinyue’s offer to abandon her mission, awakened a rare White Lotus Natal Lotus, and went to the Western Frontier to marry Gu Jinzhi. At the Martial Arts Alliance assessment, she defeated dozens of examinees and prepared to face four Third Order martial artists.

• Li Wei cut off Yun Zheng’s arm with one strike, then refused Jiang Xinyue’s offer to abandon her promise to Liang Qiushi in exchange for safety and support.
• Jiang Xinyue helped Li Wei break through, revealing her half-open Dantians and rare White Lotus Natal Lotus, while Liang Qiushi later released her and Li Wei agreed to go to the Western Frontier.
• Liang Qiushi brought Li Wei to meet Gu Jinzhi, and their sparring ended with both of them breaking through and crashing to the ground.
• Li Wei and Gu Jinzhi registered their marriage and chose a wedding dress, but Gu Jinzhi left the studio after seeing her in it.
• Li Wei registered for the First Order martial artist assessment as Jiang Xue, then fought the Tengxiang students who mocked and attacked her.
• Commander Huang Lei turned the assessment into a challenge, promising rewards to anyone who defeated Li Wei, and she accepted despite her dwindling qi and blood.
• Li Wei fought through more than two hundred examinees, replenished her strength with Abyss Essence, and faced the four remaining Third Order martial artists as Huang Lei watched.

Li Wei entered the Abyss Rift to rescue trapped martial artists and repeatedly saved survivors while pushing deeper through the monster-infested layers. She reached Min Zimo’s battered squad in the Ninth Layer and stayed behind to face the horde after they retreated.

• Li Wei entered the Abyss Rift, killed monsters through its shallow layers, and joined the rescue mission for the trapped Investigation Bureau team.
• Li Wei killed a Third-Order Octopus Monster with her newly gained Saber Intent and continued protecting martial artists as the rescue waves entered the rift.
• Min Zimo led his exhausted team into the Ninth Layer’s Inverted Domain, where Octopus Monsters began closing in across the floating islands.
• The first and second rescue waves suffered heavy casualties, while Li Wei continued searching deeper for Min Zimo’s team.
• Liu Zhao and Mou Bin sacrificed themselves to hold back the horde as Min Zimo’s squad tried to escape across the Pencil Tip.
• Li Wei arrived, severed the monsters’ tentacles, gave Min Zimo’s squad time to retreat, and advanced her Great Yin Jade Lotus Treasure Scroll before beginning her fight against the horde.

After Li Wei and Gu Jinzhi survived the rift, they prepared to enter the Sky-Gazing Mirror to recover their souls. The mirror’s rules were changed by the Great Dream Bodhisattva, and the five entrants awakened in unfamiliar bodies in a dangerous world.

• Gu Jinzhi found Li Wei in the ruined theater, and they escaped the Inverted Domain after Li Wei revealed her sword intent and Second Stage cultivation.
• Jiang Xinyue reunited with the survivors and later told Li Wei that her soul damage could threaten her cultivation, while the Sky-Gazing Mirror might speed her recovery.
• Min Zimo invited Li Wei and Gu Jinzhi to enter the Sky-Gazing Mirror, and Li Wei received rewards from the Investigation Bureau and Martial Arts Alliance.
• Li Wei visited Li Cheng, gave him a Fleeting Bloom for his treatment, and arranged for Liang Qiushi to help secure Gu Jinzhi’s military enlistment slot.
• Zeng Aijia explained the Mirror World’s roles and dangers before the Sky-Gazing Mirror drew Li Wei, Gu Jinzhi, Zeng Yi, Su Mo, and Min Zimo inside.
• The Great Dream Bodhisattva changed the Mirror World’s restrictions, severed the five entrants from the outside, and awakened in Min Zimo’s badly injured body near Floating Cloud Pass.
• Su Mo and Zeng Yi woke in sick and wounded bodies, while Gu Jinzhi found himself a frail emperor whose palace had just been rocked by an explosion.
