"Boom, boom, boom..."
Su Yue carefully stepped out of the alley and walked some distance along the street when she suddenly heard a series of loud booms in the distance.
She turned her head in confusion and looked toward the direction of the booming.
"Something seems to have happened over there. Should I go take a look?"
Su Yue furrowed her brows and pondered, but ultimately abandoned the idea of going over to investigate.
Because not long ago, she had encountered an Advanced Treant in the direction where the booms had come from.
If she went to investigate now, there was no telling whether she would run into a Treant again. It was too dangerous.
Su Yue withdrew her gaze from the distance and continued walking along the street.
Suddenly, she sensed something and hurriedly ran toward a shop by the roadside.
Su Yue hid inside a clothing store, her back pressed tightly against the wall. She then leaned toward the window and cautiously peered out through the glass.
A berserk Treant appeared at the end of the street, occasionally letting out a roar.
It showed no interest whatsoever in the pedestrians who had collapsed by the roadside and wandered about aimlessly.
Su Yue watched as the Treant drew closer and closer, her tense heart pounding wildly.
"Boom."
Another loud boom rang out. The Treant approaching Su Yue heard the noise and immediately changed direction, sprinting toward the place where the boom had come from.
"Phew..."
Seeing the Treant disappear, Su Yue covered her heaving chest with one hand and let out a long sigh of relief, murmuring,
"Loud disturbances attract the Treants' attention. I must remember that from now on."
