Bright sunlight bathed the city, and more and more residents of Ping'an Garden Residential Area were waking up.
In the quiet bedroom, Zhou Tongtong lay on the bed, sleeping soundly.
Suddenly, the bedroom door opened, followed by a voice.
"Tongtong, time to get up."
Gentle and graceful Xia Qing stood in the doorway and called out. Seeing that her daughter showed no reaction and was still asleep, she walked to the bed and reached out to shake her awake.
"Mom?"
Zhou Tongtong woke up and looked at Xia Qing with a dazed expression.
"Get up and have breakfast." Xia Qing spoke to her daughter, then left the bedroom.
"Yaaawn~" Bleary-eyed Zhou Tongtong yawned. She climbed out of bed, took off her pajamas, changed her clothes, and left the bedroom.
The bright morning sun shone through the windowpane into the room, falling over the kitchen.
Xia Qing wore an apron and a greaseproof cap.
She raised her hand and poured some oil into the wok. Once the oil heated up, she added the vegetables and stir-fried them.
The sizzling sound of cooking rang out. The range hood sucked away the rising smoke and expelled it outside.
Zhou Tongtong came out of the bathroom after washing up, her little face flushed.
Xia Qing had just finished cooking. She came to the dining room and placed the dishes on the table.
Zhou Tongtong walked into the dining room. Seeing her dressed in her usual school uniform, Xia Qing hurriedly said,
"Tongtong, you're wearing the wrong clothes."
"Huh?" Zhou Tongtong froze when she heard that.
"Starting today, the next few days are the sports meet. You need to wear your sports uniform to school." Xia Qing reminded her.
"Ah!" Zhou Tongtong belatedly realized it. She raised her hand and tapped her head. "I forgot."
