"Looks like there weren't any more aftershocks in the latter half of the night. After we have breakfast, I'll take you home..." Lin Li recalled what had happened in the latter half of the night and spoke.
Su Yue hummed in response, then got up and walked toward a small tree not far away.
The early-morning sunlight was warm as it fell over them, neither dazzling nor scorching.
The small tree bearing wild fruit swayed gently in the breeze. The ripe fruit could not withstand the wind and fell to the ground.
Su Yue came to the tree and reached out to pluck a bright-red wild fruit from a branch.
"How does it taste?" Lin Li came over to Su Yue's side and asked.
"These wild fruits are sweet and sour. They're pretty tasty... Try one." Su Yue replied with a smile, then held a wild fruit to Lin Li's mouth.
"Mmm, they really are tasty." Lin Li ate the fruit she offered him.
"Let's pick some to take back..." Su Yue suggested.
Lin Li nodded. Then, with a thought, he took a small bamboo basket out of the Mysterious Small Island.
The basket was only half the size of a washbasin and could not hold much.
However, it was quite exquisitely made and very appealing to girls.
Su Yue instantly fell in love with the little bamboo basket when she saw it.
"If you like it, I'll give it to you..." Seeing how much Su Yue liked it, Lin Li decided to give it to her.
"How could I accept that?" Su Yue said with a beaming smile.
"The shopkeeper gave it to me when I bought something else. I don't usually have any use for it.
Since you like it, just take it. It's not worth much anyway."
