The streetlights came on.
Inside the flower shop, two youthful and lovely figures were cleaning.
After Su Yue and Wang Ling finished up inside the flower shop, they came out.
By then, the sky had grown very dark, and more and more vehicles filled the road.
"There are a lot of cars on the road. If we take a taxi there, we'll probably get stuck in traffic," Su Yue said as she looked at the congested streets.
"Then let's take the subway. There happens to be a subway station not far from that place.
"Once we get there, we can find a shared bicycle by the roadside. It'll only take a few minutes to arrive after that..." Wang Ling thought it over seriously before making the suggestion.
Su Yue gave a quiet "Mm," and the two of them headed toward the nearby subway station.
Before long, the subway station appeared before them. Su Yue and Wang Ling entered the station and, after about half an hour, arrived in the suburbs.

Su Yue and Wang Ling followed behind the crowd and exited the subway station. At a spot by the roadside where shared bicycles were parked, they unlocked two bicycles and continued according to their plan.
Compared with the bustling city center, the suburban streets seemed much quieter.

At that moment, a burst of sirens sounded behind them.
The instant they heard the sirens, the two immediately slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road.
