The ruin had once been a collapsed tower. Broken walls and beams lay in a tangled heap, with stones of all sizes forming many natural hiding spots.

Before long, the lava lake in the distance suddenly began to churn violently. The crimson lava was like boiling molten iron, throwing up waves several meters high. When the spray fell, it scattered sparks across the sky like a meteor shower.
Immediately afterward, a gigantic, scarlet lizard slowly crawled out of the lava. Its four limbs stepped onto the stones along the shore with dull thuds, making the ground tremble faintly.
Its body was covered in densely packed scales. They were like fine red jade, glimmering beneath the searing light and reflecting blinding crimson radiance.
