Zhou Tongtong crouched down, opened the plastic bag in her hand, and gave it a gentle shake. A small pile of lively little fish fell onto the grass, wriggling faintly and giving off a light fishy smell—the favorite scent of the two kittens.
Little White Cat and Little Black Cat immediately pounced on them, lowered their heads, bit down on a fish each, and began wolfing them down.
They did not even have time to chew the fish bones properly, swallowing them whole like dates. They ate with particular relish, letting out contented little whimpers from time to time, their tiny tails wagging nonstop. They looked incomparably happy.
