"Mm." After hearing what his wife had said, Su Chen nodded. Then he pulled his phone from his pocket and called a friend at the Ability Management Bureau.

"Hello?" The call connected, and the other side answered soon after.

"Are you busy?" Su Chen asked.

"I just finished. It's so late—what's the matter?" a steady voice asked.

"It's like this. I was just..." Su Chen told him in detail about what had happened to him at sea.

"Something like that actually happened? All right, I understand. I'll have my people follow up and investigate it later." After hearing Su Chen's account, the steady voice became somewhat grave.

After chatting briefly, Su Chen ended the call with his friend at the Ability Management Bureau.

"What did he say?" Zheng Qiuyi asked.

"He knows about it already. He'll arrange for people to follow up on the investigation. We don't need to worry about it anymore." Su Chen smiled.

"Mm." The worry in Zheng Qiuyi's heart vanished at once. Then she told her husband about something else. "I just called Xiao Yue."

When Su Chen heard that his wife had called their daughter, he nodded and walked toward the stone table in the courtyard. He sat down on one of the stone stools.

Zheng Qiuyi followed him and sat on the stone stool beside her husband. Then, smiling brightly, she began talking about the gift their daughter had bought for her.

"..." Su Chen looked at his wife's radiant smile and remained silent in thought, seemingly mulling something over.

Seeing him like this, Zheng Qiuyi knew what he was thinking at a glance after all their years as husband and wife. She smiled sweetly and added,

"Xiao Yue bought you a gift too. She'll send it back tomorrow along with mine."
