Strangeness and Bewilderment (Two Chapters Combined)

A huge full moon hung high in the sky, while countless diamond-like stars glittered across the pitch-black, curtain-like night.

Silver-white moonlight spilled a hazy glow over the earth. Within the boundless forest stretching beyond sight lived countless unknown creatures.

Whether it was the slightly red full moon hanging in the sky or the giant trees over a hundred meters tall that could be found anywhere in the forest, everything spoke of this world's uniqueness.

A terrifying beast's roar echoed through the valley. A giant beast took flight from the mountaintop and rapidly flew toward somewhere in the forest.

A small river flowed in from the distance, winding through the forest as its turbulent waters rushed toward lower ground.

At that moment, several gibbons sat in a large tree by the river. Unlike usual, they did not cast their gazes toward the moon's reflection in the water.

Instead, they watched with great curiosity as a circular Spatial Rift over a dozen meters in diameter hovered on the bank not far away.
