A bright full moon hung high in the sky, spilling silver-white moonlight across the earth.
The weather was exceptionally fine tonight. There was not a single cloud in the sky, and looking up, one could clearly see the countless stars embedded in the heavens.
"Chirp, chirp, chirp..."
Various insects called out from the lush grass on both sides of the broad river. Their cries rose and fell, as if a symphony were being performed.
"Big brother, things have been pretty tense lately. Won't we be in danger by committing a crime against the tide like this?" a lackey in a black vest asked in a low voice.
The Bald Strong Man was six feet and one inch tall, with knotted muscles bulging along his arms. Hearing this, he said confidently, "Relax. There won't be any danger. The reason I didn't delay the deal is that I received word the Ability Management Bureau is short-handed right now and has a mountain of cases to deal with. There's no way they have spare manpower to arrest us."
The lackeys around him had all been worried that committing a crime at such a sensitive time would get them caught by investigators. After hearing the Bald Strong Man's words, most of their concerns immediately vanished.
"Ding-dong."
The phone in the pocket of a bespectacled lackey suddenly rang. He pulled it out to check the text message he had received, and his brows instantly furrowed.
Nobody around him noticed the change in the bespectacled lackey's expression. They all stared expectantly at the distant river, hoping their trading partner would appear soon.
"Big brother." The bespectacled lackey came to the Bald Strong Man's side and called out softly.
"What is it?"
"The men I sent out spotted several young people upstream."
"Hm?" The Bald Strong
