"Chirp, chirp..."
The morning sun poured over the earth, and the birds in the residential area sang in clear, melodious voices.
The Little White Cat and Little Black Cat frolicked on the grass. Finding the noise somewhat bothersome, they lifted their heads and looked toward the birds in a distant tree.
The two sides met each other's eyes. Frightened by the two stray cats, the birds perched on the branches all fell silent.
A few particularly timid birds did not dare remain where they were. They quickly took flight from the branches, leaving the residential area for somewhere else.
"Meow... Lin Li's come out." A faint golden light flashed through the Little White Cat's eyes. An image of Lin Li walking out of the building appeared in its mind. It immediately turned its head toward the entrance of Building Three in the distance and spoke to its companion.
Little Black Cat stopped staring at the birds on the branches and looked toward the distant entrance with its companion. Before long, a familiar figure walked out.
Lin Li immediately noticed the two stray cats watching him from the distant greenbelt. He walked over and greeted them with a broad smile.
"Good morning. You two look very energetic today."
"Meow..." The two stray cats greeted Lin Li very politely. The reason the two little fellows were so energetic today was that they had returned early to rest the previous night.
As usual, Lin Li fed the Little White Cat and Little Black Cat some food before leaving.
Watching Lin Li's departing back, Little Black Cat suddenly remembered what had happened the previous night and asked its companion,
"Meow... We ran into such a huge mutated beast by the river last night. Should we tell Lin Li about it?"
