The sun rose over the horizon, its golden light spilling across the earth and draping the city in a shimmering golden veil.
The rising sun was blocked by the heavy curtains. Only thin rays squeezed through the gaps and fell into the quiet bedroom.
The graceful Su Yue lay sleeping in bed, her lovely face utterly peaceful, like a sleeping beauty.
Suddenly, her long eyelashes fluttered rapidly like butterfly wings. With a soft murmur, the sleeping Su Yue slowly opened her eyes.
"It's daylight."
Having just woken up, Su Yue was still groggy and looked dazed.
She sat up and stared blankly at the golden sunlight squeezing into the room with her limpid eyes. After spacing out for more than ten seconds, she threw off the thin blanket and got out of bed.
"Why do I feel like I have an inexhaustible amount of energy?"
Su Yue suddenly felt like going for a morning run. She picked up the phone on the bedside table, unlocked the screen, and checked the time.
"It's only five-thirty?"
"I woke up a little early today!"
She would normally feel sleepy if she got up this early, but now she was not tired at all. Instead, she even wanted to go outside and exercise.
Su Yue raised a hand and scratched her hair, quickly making up her mind.
She went to the window, grabbed the curtains, and pulled them open to either side. The sunlight that had been blocked off instantly flooded into the room, making the bedroom bright as day.
