Hua Sijun cried out in alarm and tried to step forward, but Medusa's flung snake tail coiled around her ankle and violently dragged her toward the Bewildering Snake Formation.
Hua Xiaoyao hurriedly swung his sword and severed the snake tail, but the miasma around them suddenly thickened. Countless phantoms formed from Snake Sheddings lunged at them, completely blocking the three of them from view.
"An illusion!"
Hua Xiaoyao shouted, but before his words had faded, Hua Jing let out a cry of pain.
She had accidentally touched the Heart-Devouring Gu at the formation's core. The gu worm had already burrowed into her wound and begun gnawing at her meridians.

"Don't move!" Medusa's voice was filled with viciousness. "Move again, and I'll make this 'Soul-Devouring Poison' burrow straight into her brain, turning her into a living corpse!"
Hua Xiaoyao and Hua Sijun instantly froze. Seeing Hua Jing's agonized expression, their eyes were full of anxiety.
Medusa's shoulder was still bleeding, but her smile grew more and more wild. "If you want to save your aunt, hand over the Life Holy Water.
"I'll count to three. If you don't hand it over, then prepare to collect her corpse—one!"
"Don't hurt Aunt!" Hua Sijun's voice trembled with panic. She wanted to rush forward, but Hua Xiaoyao stopped her.
