Background

When Hua Xiaoyao was only two or three years old, Ancestor Yuan Mo targeted him as a possession vessel. His protective pendant delayed the attack, but Yuan Mo ultimately entered Xiaoyao's mind and discovered a Life Divine Tree sapling within it. Hua Qiang entered his son's spiritual realm, defeated the intruder, and later integrated the demon's remaining energy into Xiaoyao's body. Xiaoyao emerged unharmed and gained the Nine Transformations of God and Demon technique 569 571.

Ximen Ba, the Overlord Emperor, recognized Xiaoyao's potential and sought to accept him as a disciple. Xiaoyao accepted only after negotiating for a storage ring of treasures, which he split with Hua Sijun 661.

By age eighteen, Xiaoyao's Divine Soul could travel into the Chaos Void. There, he fought bone dragons drawing a mysterious sarcophagus, absorbed their energy, and later used Chaos origin energy from the sarcophagus to enter the Creation Realm 1151 1152.

At eighteen, Hua Xiaoyao has an exceptionally handsome, refined appearance resembling Hua Qiang's heroic features while retaining a more youthful and lively air 1151.

Personality

Hua Xiaoyao is precocious, dramatic, and fond of carrying himself like an adult. Even as a small child, he responded to Hua Qiang's invitation to go out by saying he would “reluctantly” accompany his father, prompting laughter from the family 550.

He is also proud and confrontational, readily challenging opponents he considers disrespectful. When Bi Fushou intervened against him, Xiaoyao demanded that Hua Qiang equalize their cultivation levels so that he could defeat the elder himself 911.

Despite his arrogance, Xiaoyao is fiercely protective of his family. He shields Hua Sijun in battle, sacrifices the Life Holy Water to save Hua Jing, and later devotes his Creation Realm power to freeing his imprisoned relatives and pursuing Huang Jing 1015 1019 1153. He also intervenes against injustice, killing Zhen Wuji to stop Huang Xun'er’s assault and treating her poisoning afterward 1160.

Overlord Emperor's Disciple

Ximen Ba notices Xiaoyao's potential and attempts to take him as a disciple. Xiaoyao accepts only after securing treasures for himself and Hua Sijun 661.

Snow Monster Campaign

Xiaoyao and Hua Sijun defend themselves against General Lu's Snow Monster force, then lead an assault on the Snow Monster King's castle. Xiaoyao defeats the king alone by activating his God-Demon Hegemonic Body, while Hua Sijun and the mecha forces eliminate the fleeing monsters 904 906 907.
