As the Northwest Legion's main force advanced across the grasslands, a Supply Line stretching hundreds of miles quietly unfurled behind them.
To ensure the frontline soldiers received grain, ammunition, and medicine, Logistics Department Minister Ron had drawn up a detailed logistics plan before the campaign began. Behind the main force's marching route, a Supply Station would be established at set intervals, like pearls strung across the grasslands, continuously sending supplies from the rear to the front.
Besides storing some supplies, the Supply Stations also provided secure temporary resting places for the transport teams.
To keep pace with the army's advance, these Supply Stations were built quite simply. Simple, however, did not mean fragile. Their walls consisted of a ring of sturdy wooden fencing about two meters high. Each stake had been fire-treated against decay and driven half a meter into the ground, while thick hemp rope was wound tightly between the stakes. Rings of Barbed Wire also surrounded the outside of the fence. The wire bristled with sharp barbs that gleamed coldly in the sunlight, effectively blocking ambushes by wild beasts and cavalry from the grasslands.
Inside each Supply Station, the tents and supply storage areas were arranged in perfect order. The commander's tent stood at the very center, surrounded by the ammunition depot, grain and fodder depot, and medical supplies depot. Half an Infantry Company was stationed at every Supply Station. During the day, they patrolled the fences and Barbed Wire, while at night, they lit bonfires and watched the grasslands warily, ensuring the supplies remained safe.
The transport process handled by the Logistics Department was even tighter and more orderly. Departing from the army's main supply base in the Stonemason Clan's territory, supply wagons and camel trains loaded with provisions would first reach the nearest Supply Station. After
