• Qiong Kou protected the descending group with bubbles as Tang Kun explained that they were invading a world controlled by the Devil Race.
• Zhang Yang cut a wide safe passage through low-grade devil qi with his Formless Heart Swords while the others prepared levitation spells.
• Li Weisi sent Zhang Yang his flying sword to help him slow his fall, but the sword was consumed by denser devil clouds and Li Weisi was injured.

Zhang Yang and the others descended into the Demon Race’s polluted world and established a fortified base around a Demon Cloud Monitoring Tree. The tree drew the attack of a true demon, and Li Weisi’s barrier bought the team fifteen minutes to kill it.

• Tang Kun explained that the demonic cloud polluted the world and the team received an optional quest to hold a base long enough for the Demon Cloud Monitoring Seed to complete its monitoring cycle.
• Tang Kun and Li Weisi cleared nearby demons as the team landed, then Tang Kun placed the Abyssal Village Building Order to purify the ground and Li Weisi and Old Wang built the fortress.

• Zhang Yang freed Old Wang with his Formless Heart Sword, and Old Wang fled while warning him that the enemy was a Shadow True Demon.

• Zhang Yang defended Qiong Kou and identified the rescued stranger as Qin Ge, so Li Weisi took them to the Seven-Star Demon Trapping Array for isolation.
• Qiong Kou explained that Qin Ge had rescued him from a survivor camp and fought off a pursuing true devil, and Qin Ge woke when Zhang Yang tried to examine him.

• Zhang Yang awoke in his high school classroom with his strength suppressed and received quests to find Qin Mingyue, survive the first attack, and establish a fortress base.

• Zhang Yang blindfolded himself and the Fatty, blocked their ears, and guided them through the contaminated school grounds toward the Guard Room.
• Zhang Yang found Qin Mingyue inside and brought the Fatty in, though the Fatty nearly succumbed to the Devil Tongue’s effects.
• Zhang Yang revived the Fatty with cardiac resuscitation, and the Fatty recovered enough to move and speak.
• Zhang Yang carved a wooden spear from a mop handle and warned the guards to prepare for battle.

Zhang Yang and the others survived the apocalyptic attack, then discovered that everyone who had been unconscious had become a deformed Demonic Infected Body while acting like nothing was wrong. As ordinary people attacked the infected, Zhang Yang realized that he and his companions might soon be treated as the monsters and decided they needed to leave the city.

• Zhang Yang, Qin Mingyue, the Fatty, and the guards sheltered in the Guard Room until the first wave of apocalyptic attacks passed.
• Guard Old Li appeared normal after waking, but when he opened the curtain, Zhang Yang and Qin Mingyue saw his monstrous head and killed him with their wooden spears.
• Zhang Yang found that unconscious people across the city had become cauliflower-headed Demonic Infected Bodies, while those who had stayed conscious were attacking them.

Zhang Yang led Qin Mingyue, the Fatty, and Old Zhang out of the Guard Room to escape the Cauliflower-Heads and find a defensible place. After Old Zhang exposed them in the cafeteria, they fled with a large group of Cauliflower-Heads in pursuit.

• Qin Mingyue agreed to leave, and Zhang Yang planned a breakout route through the greenbelt and Small Woods.
• Zhang Yang broke through the Guard Room’s back wall, and the group ran toward the Small Woods.
• Two Cauliflower-Heads spotted Zhang Yang in the woods, and Qin Mingyue killed them before they could attack.
• Zhang Yang led the group into the cafeteria, where they found dozens of Cauliflower-Heads eating and watching television.
• Old Zhang shouted that the group had killed people, prompting the Cauliflower-Heads to grab chairs and chase them.

Zhang Yang, Qin Mingyue, and the fat man fled the Cauliflower-Heads, escaped campus in a stolen sedan, and took refuge in an office building. After fighting through a fire caused by survivors who mistook them for zombies, Zhang Yang urged everyone to move to the top floor and gather supplies.

• Zhang Yang used his wooden spears to frighten off pursuing Cauliflower-Heads and smash the windshield of a sedan chasing them.
• Zhang Yang stole the sedan, rescued the fat man with Qin Mingyue, and drove them out of campus before crashing into a traffic jam.
• Zhang Yang grabbed food and water from a roadside shop and led Qin Mingyue and the fat man into an office building while armed Cauliflower-Head guards pursued them.
• Zhang Yang brought fire extinguishers upstairs and stopped survivors from burning the barricade after they mistook him and his companions for zombies.
• Zhang Yang met seventeen survivors and instructed Qin Mingyue and the fat man to help move everyone to the top floor and gather supplies.

Zhang Yang organized the survivors in the office building and tried to keep them safe as conflicting accounts of the disaster reached them. After a government broadcast persuaded some survivors to leave, Fatty’s father warned him about monsters, leaving Fatty energized and ready to fight.

• Zhang Yang assigned Qin Mingyue and five survivors to clear the fourth floor while Fatty led the others in gathering supplies.
