Background

The Star Sea Foreign Race is one of the foreign forces attacking the Dao Alliance’s Sword Qi Great Wall. Their current offensive breached two of the Wall’s ten garrisoned giant cities, severing inter-city communication and threatening to isolate the two western cities 423.

They inhabit a Star Sea described as several times larger than the Dao Alliance Grotto-Heavens. Their controlled star domains are stated to be no smaller than those of the Human Race 423 546.

During the trials at the Sword Qi Great Wall, their forces occupied and defended Immortal Cities around the breached region, including Sunday Immortal City. Human cultivators ultimately reclaimed the city after breaking their Blood Fiend formations and defeating multiple Fifth-Tier combatants 427 439 441.

The conflict later expanded to the construction of the Star Ring, a network of twelve strongholds intended to form a closed defensive loop with the Sword Qi Great Wall. The Star Sea Foreign Race prepared a large-scale assault to destroy the incomplete defensive network before it could be completed 544 546.

Appearance

Star Sea Foreign Race members are humanoid but physically and facially distinct from humans. Their bodies and bloodlines are adapted for direct combat.

Conflict with the Human Race

Sword Qi Great Wall Offensive

The race’s assault on the Sword Qi Great Wall resulted in two giant cities being breached. The Dao Alliance dispatched additional forces to retake them before the western cities could be surrounded 423.

Their forces were capable of fielding thousands of combatants, organized into multiple arrays led by Fifth-Tier members. At one camp, five arrays under five Fifth-Tier leaders besieged the human defenders while other Fifth-Tier members fought Nascent Soul cultivators directly 433.

Battle for Sunday Immortal City

During the campaign to reclaim Sunday Immortal City, Zhou Ling used the Sunday Immortal Sword and Spirit Flames to break a Fifth-Tier member’s Blood Domain and kill it despite being only a Golden Core cultivator 435 437.

The Star Sea Foreign Race subsequently deployed Blood Fiend formations in an effort to secure the city. Zhou Ling broke the Fifth-Tier Blood Fiend Formation and later the Five Elements Blood Fiend Formation, allowing the Human Race to reverse its disadvantage and reclaim Sunday Immortal City 439 440.

The battle ended in a Human Race victory, though over a thousand human cultivators—including several Nascent Soul cultivators—were killed 441.

Continued Raids and Monday Immortal City

A Fifth-Tier member and seven Fourth-Tier members ambushed Zhou Ling’s group near the dark star domain. The Fifth-Tier combatant used a Blood Eye and blood soul attacks, but Zhou Ling destroyed its Blood Domain and killed it 451 452.

The race later deployed the Eight Desolations Blood Fiend Formation against Monday Immortal City. Zhou Ling identified the formation’s weakness, broke it with the Sunday Immortal Sword and Bright Sun Burning Heaven Flame, and enabled the Human Race to force a retreat 456 457.

Star Ring Campaign

The Star Sea Foreign Race recognized the Star Ring as a direct threat to its ability to menace the Dao Alliance and prepared a major attack while the strongholds remained incomplete 544.

Their Great Leaders Gu Jing and Gu Lie planned to break the Star Ring and eliminate Zhou Ling, whose repeated killings of Fifth-Tier members had made him a priority target 546.

The Star Brilliance Legion defeated the Star Sea Foreign Race at Dinghuo Immortal City, killing Gu Lie and Gu Jing. The Human Race achieved an approximately ten-to-one casualty ratio, accelerated Star Ring construction afterward, and completed the stronghold mission and Twelve Immortal Gang Sword deployment 549 551.
