Inside the cavern, Carl wore an Underwater Breathing Cap and swam back and forth in water over thirty degrees Celsius.
The active fire elementals not only affected the dungeon's surface temperature, but also made the groundwater boiling hot.
Even the inside of the Giant Minecart had now become like a steamer.
To keep herself and Hopp from suffering heatstroke, Carl used spare leather and the last bit of Eberron Dragon Crystal to make two Underwater Breathing Caps.
Normally, the two of them floated in the water and swam until they were completely exhausted, then returned to the Giant Minecart to eat and sleep.
The Giant Minecart seemed to have been specially made for Fire Giants. Although its materials were extremely heat-resistant, they did not insulate against heat.
Apparently, only Fire Giants, with their extremely high resistance to flames, could use this thing.
After all, if the machine really started operating, the heat produced by friction between the drill and the rock strata would certainly reach the inside of the machine.
The other giants probably would not enjoy a hot environment.
"I wonder when these days will finally end."
Judging by the amount of time the various elemental planes had affected the dungeon after they arrived, the Plane of Fire's influence would last at least half a month.
And counting from the day the groundwater became hot, only five days had passed at most.
Just as Carl was sighing over this, Hopp's fiery-red figure suddenly swam past her eyes.
Since exercising inside the Giant Minecart was simply too hot, the two of them had gone outside and used swimming as their exercise instead.
Although the water was also very hot, it was at least a little cooler than inside the Giant Minecart.
