Lu Yan originally worked as an assistant in Steward Chu’s Spirit Talisman Shop. Chu had taken him from the mortal city under the guise of an “immortal destiny,” but Lu Yan understood that he had been selected for malicious purposes. In the Urban Version, his disappearance was interpreted as being recruited by a major company and leaving for Myanmar; Lu Yan kept the misunderstanding intact to remain inconspicuous 5.
