"Let's Do This."
Time passed by, little by little.
During this time, the army of Demonic Beasts continued its relentless assault on the Absolute Demonic Front, attempting to trample it flat and seize all of southern Mesopotamia.
Unfortunately for them, the soldiers of Uruk were exceptionally tenacious. They constantly rotated shifts and continued holding the line. When they grew tired, someone else took over; when they were injured, they withdrew. Wave after wave, they took turns entering the battle, relying on nothing but barricades and spears to forcibly hold back the assault of the Demonic Beast army.
The Demonic Beasts attacked one after another, only to have their bodies pierced by the longspears in the hands of Uruk's soldiers and collapse onto the earth. Even when the Demonic Beasts kept pouncing at the soldiers, the barricades stopped them. They simply could not break through the defensive line.
Under such circumstances, the Demonic Beasts were hunted down one after another.
Of course, humanity suffered casualties as well. There were times when the line was breached, causing several people to be buried beneath the Demonic Beasts' fangs. Yet the gaps were quickly filled, and the Demonic Beasts were driven back once more. They could not cross the Absolute Demonic Front, much less attack Uruk.
Thus, the war between humanity and the Demonic Beasts continued without pause, making blood and corpses the main adornments of this land.
Overall, however, the Demonic Beasts suffered far greater losses, while humanity's casualties remained relatively light. From the result alone, it was obvious which side held the advantage.
This situation repeatedly left Mashu astonished.
"I really didn't expect the humans of the Age of Gods to be so tenacious. Their opponents are Demonic Beasts, too."
The humans guarding the front were all ordinary soldiers, not heroes or
