Zhang Qing uncovered the plot behind Zi City’s uprising as the Yu and Shui Families moved against one another, then entered the Sequence path of Survival during the battle. He helped Yang Man begin her own advancement while Yun Xiaoxi sealed the city, leaving her trial at risk.

• Zhang Qing learned from Yang Man and Yun Xiaoxi how Sequences, Forbidden Items, roles, and Waypoints worked, then chose to pursue Star Steel and prepare for advancement.
• The Yu Family, the City Lord, and their allies escalated their plot against Yang Man and She Ran, while Razor launched an uprising and the fighting spread through Zi City.
• Chuan Hao became a Sequence User and attacked the factions gathered in the battle, but Chuan Kuangxue revealed he had manipulated him, causing Chuan Hao’s path and armor to collapse and Chuan Hao to die.
• Yang Man revealed her Morning Sun Realm power and fled with Zhang Qing, who broke through to the Moon-Shattering Realm and fought Yu Tianhai and the pursuing ancestors.
• As the Pendulum of Fate rang, Zhang Qing chose Survival, activated Star Steel as armor, and reached Evolution as his first Waypoint.
• Zhang Qing fought Moth Ghoul and the other attackers, used his new mental power against them, and killed Chuan Kuangxue with combined mental power and true qi.
• Zhang Qing brought Yang Man into the fight, and she began her own Sequence advancement as they pursued and killed the fleeing Insect Spirit Ghoul.
• Yun Xiaoxi sealed Zi City with a massive dome, and Zhang Qing warned that her interference could jeopardize Yang Man’s advancement trial.

After Zi City is destroyed, Zhang Qing travels to Phoenix Imperial City to remove the Nirvana Fire and turns the ruins’ deadly hunt to his advantage. The Sixth Floor arrives, and Fan Adkin offers Zhang Qing and Yang Man a partnership before Zhang Qing leaves with Hu Ben’s help and Hu Ya stays behind.

• Zhang Qing confirmed his Sequence User powers worked in reality, then gathered martial arts techniques and weapons while remaining in Zi City until She Ran’s advancement destroyed the city and exposed the group to Nirvana Fire.
• Zhang Qing led Yang Man, Yun Xiaoxi, and Hu Ya toward Phoenix Imperial City, where Ji Yuquan offered to cure their corrosion and improve Zhang Qing’s weapons in exchange for hunting recent arrivals.
• At the ruins, Zhang Qing joined the camp’s hunt and worked with Yun Xiaoxi to kill Specters and martial artists while Yang Man secured support from her maternal family.
• When the rival teams clashed, Zhang Qing exposed Zhang Quan as a Screaming Ghoul, and Yan Qingshan arrived to defeat Shangguan Que and bring the wounded fighters to Zhang Qing.
• Zhang Qing absorbed Shangguan Que’s Armor, raised his cultivation to the Morning Sun Realm, and saw the Sixth Floor emerge from underground.
• Ares invited Zhang Qing and the others inside, where Fan Adkin proposed working with Zhang Qing and Yang Man and introduced Hu Ben as their helper.
• Zhang Qing left the Sixth Floor with the others, while Hu Ya chose to stay and learn skills, and Fan Adkin then questioned Ji Zi about the Phoenix Venerable and the Longevity Sequence.

Zhang Qing advanced to Sequence Two through the Nirvana Pool and turned to Great Xia for support as he prepared to seize An City. By exploiting the Yun and Xue families’ conflict and forcing Mo Li to bargain, he gained control of the city’s food supply while Li Wannian began an ideological plan to support him.

• Zhang Qing used the Phoenix Clan’s supposedly random Nirvana Pool contest to advance to Sequence Two, then fought through the gathered teams using Predation until the survivors fled.
• Zhang Qing learned that the Phoenix Clan used the Nirvana Pool to possess powerful outsiders, then discovered that acting out a role in reality could advance his Sequence.
• Zhang Qing warned Great Xia’s leaders about the approaching Dark Realm, received special privileges and support, and helped Zhang Zhengguo establish a secret crisis response group.
• Zhang Qing chose An City as his target, traveled there with Hu Ben, and enlisted Great Xia’s Think Tank after explaining that he could not seize the city by force.
• Zhang Qing and Hu Ben gained entry to An City through the Yun Family, then helped provoke a conflict between the Yun and Xue families against the Mo Family.
• During the fighting, Zhang Qing confronted Mo Li with her account book and forced her to bargain, gaining control of An City’s food supply while keeping the ledger.
• Li Wannian rejected the Think Tank’s proposed slogan and ordered the group to proceed with his plan, promising to bear the consequences so Zhang Qing could stand in the light.

Zhang Qing prepared for Shami’s Pathbreaking Battle, uncovered the City Lord’s plans, and clashed with Hu Feiyun while building his martial strength. The fight won him a Tiger Imperial City token, while rebellion spread through An City and the Zuo Family surrendered First Guard City to the rebels.

• Zhang Qing helped Great Xia assess how Dark Realm cultivators compared with modern weapons, then learned Shami had summoned him to a deadly Pathbreaking Battle.
• Guan Yutian and Pusan gathered villagers and refugees into a growing force, while Zhang Qing met He Wu, learned about Martial Path Extreme, and went into the wilderness to seek Attribute Points.
• Zhang Qing exposed and killed Frost Snow Ghouls disguised as slave traders, learned Shami planned to side with the Specters, and advanced to Blazing Sun Realm First Rank.
• Zhang Qing attended Shami’s battle against Grankes, watched Shami win, and accepted Hu Feiyun’s challenge and Fate Stone.
• Zhang Qing fought Hu Feiyun, broke through to Qi, and used Martial Path Extreme with his Waypoint Skills to wound him before a Tiger Clan Sequence Four intervened.
• Hu Feiyun admitted defeat and gave Zhang Qing the Tiger Imperial City prince’s token, while Imperial Cities and the Sixth Floor considered recruiting him.
• Zhang Qing returned to work at the megacity construction site and obtained the power of the great momentum’s Origin Point, but failed to combine Martial Path Extreme with his Waypoint Skills.
• Yuan Hong, Yin Hongyu, and Zuo Can responded to Mo Li’s letter in different ways as rebellion spread, and the Zuo Family surrendered First Guard City to the rebels, cutting off An City’s food supply.
