After Dragon Tree Monk revealed Beitang Sheng’s connections and the Great Demon God Statue’s role, Meng Zhao was left considering what the statue’s long service had changed.

• The Sky Wolf prodigy and Dan Qing crossed the Rainbow Bridge, then joined Meng Zhao in facing trials that tested their minds and Buddha-nature inside the Seven-Layered Exquisite Pagoda.
• Meng Zhao and the Heavenly Wolf youth passed Dragon Tree Monk’s tests and became his disciples, while Meng Zhao suspected the monk was manipulating his followers for cultivation.
• Dragon Tree Monk trapped the Heavenly Wolf youth in the Green Lamp Nether Coffin to forge a Peacock True Body, but the youth emerged as a powerful Sky Wolf Corpse.

Meng Zhao and Zhao Rulíng reached Sifang City and negotiated a cautious alliance while its leaders uncovered spies working for Long Feng. Meng Zhao agreed to meet Long Feng, and the arc ended with a clash at the Crystal Palace.

• Dragon Tree Monk destroyed Little Cold Mountain Temple, while Meng Zhao and Zhao Rulíng later eliminated Beitang Sheng’s agents and were confronted by Lord Bei, a protector of Humans in the Arctic Ice Plains.
• Meng Zhao proposed that Sifang City’s people return to the Northern Lands, and Lord Bei brought him and Zhao Rulíng to meet the city’s leaders.
