Cheng Shi had spent the past two days feeling rather uneasy. He was waiting for Death Boss to summon him.
Whether it was God of Merriment, Whore God, or Chaos and Time, none of these four Lords of Grace had paid him any attention over the past few days. This left Cheng Shi extremely anxious for a while, and he could only place all his hopes for this plan on The Great One.
Fortunately, Death Boss had always been reliable. Not long before the trial ended, the long-waiting clown finally received word.
An irresistible force dragged him into the void, where he saw Herobas, who was even more anxious than he was.
Clearly, all the preparations were complete. Now all Herobas had to do was request to inherit Annihilation's authority, after which The Great One would relay the matter of justice (Order), summon the Gods' Covenant Assembly, and this battle of "usurpation" would officially begin.
Yet at this moment, Herobas suddenly began to "shrink back."
He tried several times to say something,
but each time, his expression changed and he swallowed the words back down. Seeing this, Cheng Shi did not encourage him. Instead, he spared no effort to tease him:
"You weren't like this during the negotiations, Herobas.
What, are you scared?
You don't actually think there's still any turning back at this point, do you?
I told you that if I cheated during this 'usurpation,' the True Gods I persuaded would never let me off. Now I'm saying the same thing to you.
If you give up, not only will they never let you off, I'll probably inform your still-oblivious Lord of Grace at the first opportunity and tell Him exactly how you conspired with me to scheme for His divine
