Time froze. For one brief moment, they once again experienced the meaninglessness of Nothingness.
They had no time to waste here, so they slowly widened their eyes, letting the black holes within devour every wave of Nothingness before silently leaving.
But Destiny had no intention of letting them off so easily. Even while exchanging blows with Deception, they continued using the power of Nothingness to drag back the being that was about to leave.
Yet at that moment, another divine power intervened.
Amid the collapsing, shattered void and the chaotic currents of reality, a mass of Chaos Yellow Mist suddenly spilled out. Then, a giant hand reached from within the yellow mist, blocking Destiny's vision. It pressed the violent waves flat in one motion, ripping the void apart like a piece of rag.
As the void shattered, countless streams of yellow mist came surging over, filling the entire space to the brim.
Destiny's gaze sharpened at the sight.
"Chaos."
The giant hand within the Chaos Yellow Mist quietly withdrew. From the roiling fog came a deep voice, resonant as a great bell.
"I have come as promised."
Before Destiny could respond, Deception, hidden within the void, poked out again and said with a grin:
"Oh, look at that. You two were ganging up on me just now, so it's my turn to make it two against one.
"Your little sister is being disobedient, so naturally she needs a proper lesson. Don't you agree?"
As they spoke, Deception truly stirred up a bizarre tide within the endless mist, spreading an illusion of the gods before Destiny's eyes.
Beneath that false cosmos, life was utterly defeated, Sinking ceased to exist, civilizations fell apart, Chaos lost its color, and existence fractured into countless pieces that could never be mended. Even Nothingness was not
