The Origin of Purifying Fire

As everyone knew, purifying fire was used on Harmony Island to eliminate the Corrupted Ones. Those twisted, hideous monsters could not be killed by normal means, and they would continuously erode their surroundings, causing permanent pollution.

Therefore, the original miko of the Harmony Island Grand Shrine sacrificed herself, transforming into the enormous Divine Cherry Tree. They also established a system centered around the Head Miko to control the purifying fire, using these never-extinguishing flames to eliminate the Corrupted Ones.

Of course, purifying fire itself was an even stronger form of pollution. Using it was merely drinking poison to quench thirst, delaying the arrival of the apocalypse.

What puzzled Lu Ban was how purifying fire had been constructed, and how the Glorious Realm controlled it.

The purifying fire he had exchanged for at the Silence Department Store was contained in a bottle. The bottle clearly was not affected by the purifying fire. Moreover, judging from Lu Ban's current observations, the Glorious Realm did not appear to have been burned or eroded by the purifying fire either. And if they could find a way to control the purifying fire, then, leaving everything else aside, Harmony Island should at least be saved.
